Components of stainless steel doors
2018-12-19

Stainless steel door is a door made of stainless steel sheet material. Like ordinary door appearance, the main material is stainless steel, so it plays the role of anti-theft door. It can use mould to make various door decorations. Residential quarters use most of them. It is generally used to enter the door to protect the inner door from being damaged.

It can be divided into stainless steel skeleton doors and pure stainless steel plate doors.

Stainless steel door is made of stainless steel plate with thickness over 1.5mm, which is directly cut and bent and welded. It has no pipe skeleton, compact structure and good corrosion resistance to weak corrosion media such as air, steam, water and chemical corrosion media such as acid, alkali and salt. Also known as stainless acid-resistant steel.

In practical application, steel resistant to weak corrosion medium is often called stainless steel, while steel resistant to chemical corrosion medium is called acid-resistant steel. Because of the difference in chemical composition, the former is not necessarily resistant to chemical medium corrosion, while the latter is generally stainless. The corrosion resistance of stainless steel doors depends on the alloy elements contained in the steel. Chromium is the basic element for stainless steel to obtain corrosion resistance. When the content of chromium in steel reaches about 12%, chromium reacts with oxygen in corrosive medium to form a thin oxide film (self-passivation film) on the surface of steel, which can prevent further corrosion of steel matrix. In addition to chromium, the commonly used alloying elements are nickel, molybdenum, titanium, niobium, copper, nitrogen, etc. to meet the requirements of various uses for the structure and properties of stainless steel. Stainless steel is usually divided into:

(1) Ferritic stainless steel. It contains 12%-30% chromium. The corrosion resistance, toughness and weldability of the stainless steel increase with the increase of chromium content. The chloride stress corrosion resistance of the stainless steel is better than that of other kinds of stainless steel.

(2) Austenitic stainless steel. It contains more than 18% chromium, about 8% nickel and a small amount of molybdenum, titanium, nitrogen and other elements. It has good comprehensive performance and can withstand corrosion of various media.

(3) Austenite-ferrite duplex stainless steel. It has the advantages of both austenitic and ferritic stainless steels and superplasticity.

(4) Martensitic stainless steel. It has high strength, but poor plasticity and weldability.

Standard for safety inspection of stainless steel doors

According to the General Technical Conditions for Anti-theft Safety Doors, qualified anti-theft doors can not pry open or open an opening of 615 square millimeters on the door fan or 38 square millimeters in a half circle of 150 square millimeters at the locking point within 15 minutes by using ordinary hand tools such as chisels, screwdrivers, crowbars and hand drills. And the locks used in anti-theft doors must be special locks for anti-theft doors with anti-drilling function, which have passed the inspection center of the Ministry of Public Security.
